Our story
What began with two strangers meeting over coffee, discovering a mutual passion for baking and a desire for something more meaningful soon developed into a deep friendship, a thriving business and a cornerstone in the local community.
After a chaotic spring of 2025, renovating the small barn located on the driveway of Snickars, we opened the doors to Cafè en loge in the summer. What initially began as a popup cafe, soon turned into a popular place to visit for both the local community and those from further afield, serving fresh homemade cake, buns, and bread with an abundance of warmth and good feelings.
As summer turned to autumn and then winter, the popularity continued. With both demand and enthusiasm on the rise, our cheesecake, carrot cake, and cinnamon buns became staples and as orders for cakes for weddings, birthdays, and confirmation parties grew, so did our dreams and ambitions.
So what’s next for Snickars?
We are now renovating the large barn for an all year round cafe, bookshop, and event space, with the plan to open on a daily basis serving throughout the year. There will be cakes, buns, bread, and lunches all within a rustic farm environment overlooking the magnificent views across the fields.
Snickars is more than just coffee and cake. It is a community of people we are proud to call our friends.
